Free Fire Detective Panda Pet — Panda’s Blessings Ability & Guide
By Free Fire Nation Team • Free Fire Pets
A-Tier Overall · S-Tier for Clash Squad & Rush Players
Free Fire Detective Panda Pet
The pet that pays you for winning fights. Detective Panda’s Panda’s Blessings ability restores 10 HP every time you get a kill at max level — instantly, with no animation, no standing still, and no item consumed. Most pets help you before a fight. Panda is the only one that reloads your health bar during one. If you play aggressive, rush angles, and finish your fights, Panda is quietly the most valuable pet in your inventory.
| A-Tier | +10 HP per kill | Panda’s Blessings | 699 | Level 7 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pet Tier | HP Restored (Max) | Ability | Diamonds | Max Level |
Also called the “Panda pet“, “Panda FF“, or just “Panda” — same black-and-white detective bear, same Panda’s Blessings ability. Don’t confuse the pet with panda-themed bundles or the Wild Panda and Skull Panda skins, which are cosmetic only and change nothing about the ability.
Why Detective Panda Is Still Meta in 2026
Here’s the thing most players get wrong about healing in Free Fire: the problem was never how much HP you can heal. It’s when you can heal.
A med kit restores far more health than Panda ever will. But using it means standing still, locking your movement, and broadcasting to every enemy nearby that you’re vulnerable for the next few seconds. In Clash Squad, that window is exactly when you die. Panda’s Blessings has no window. You knock the enemy, the HP lands, and you’re already turning to the next fight.
That’s the entire argument for this pet, and it’s why Detective Panda has stayed relevant across a decade of OB updates while flashier pets have come and gone. In the 2026 meta, Panda sits at A-Tier overall and S-Tier for Clash Squad, rush players, and anyone whose gameplan involves entering fights rather than waiting them out.
There’s a second thing that makes Panda unusual: it’s the only pet whose value scales with your skill. Mr. Waggor gives the same free Gloo Wall to a Bronze player and a Grandmaster. Falco drops everyone at the same speed. Panda gives you nothing if you get zero kills and 70+ HP across a Clash Squad match if you’re fragging out. The better you play, the harder it works.
Detective Panda is a permanent store pet at 699 diamonds and has been in the game since the early pet era. His in-game character is a panda detective — hence the magnifying glass in his idle animation and the trench-coat look on some skins.
Panda’s Blessings — How Detective Panda’s Ability Works
🐼 Panda’s Blessings Restores a fixed amount of HP every time you eliminate an enemy. The heal is instant, fully passive, requires no activation, consumes no item, and works with every character in the game. It cannot be interrupted, and it applies while you’re moving, reloading, or sprinting.
| Pet Level | Skill Level | HP Restored Per Kill |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Skill Lv 1 | +4 HP |
| Level 4 | Skill Lv 2 | +7 HP |
| Level 7 | Skill Lv 3 (MAX) | +10 HP |
The Real Math on 10 HP Per Kill
Ten HP sounds small until you count it across a match instead of a single fight. Here’s what Panda actually returns:
| Kills | HP Restored (Max Panda) | What That Actually Means |
|---|---|---|
| 1 kill | 10 HP | Roughly one mushroom — instantly, mid-fight |
| 2 kills | 20 HP | Survive one extra AK body shot |
| 3 kills | 30 HP | A full inhaler’s worth, zero downtime |
| 4 kills | 40 HP | Over half a med kit, with no animation |
| 7 kills (CS match) | 70 HP | A full med kit you never had to stop for |
Look at the bottom row. Across a seven-round Clash Squad match where you average one kill per round, Panda hands you a med kit’s worth of health — except it arrives in ten-HP chunks at the exact moments you need it, instead of in one lump while you’re crouched behind a wall praying nobody peeks.
That’s the compounding value. It’s not the raw number. It’s that Panda’s healing costs you zero tempo.
What Panda’s Blessings Does NOT Do
- Doesn’t heal on a knock — the enemy must be fully eliminated for the HP to land
- Doesn’t heal you if a teammate finishes an enemy you knocked down
- Doesn’t overheal — HP caps at your maximum, so kills at full health are wasted value
- Doesn’t restore EP (that’s Ottero’s job)
- Doesn’t reduce damage taken or affect armour durability (that’s Poring)
- Doesn’t help teammates — the heal applies only to you
- Doesn’t work retroactively — kills you got before equipping Panda don’t count
That first bullet is the one that costs players value without them realising it. In squad Battle Royale, knocking three enemies and letting your team clean up means zero HP for you. Panda rewards finishing, not just fragging.
How to Get Detective Panda in Free Fire
Store purchase: Detective Panda is permanently available in the pet store for 699 diamonds — the standard pet price. He’s never been removed from the store.
Events: Panda has appeared in top-up events, playtime reward events, and login campaigns more often than almost any other pet. Garena treats him as a beginner-friendly reward, so he shows up in “play 30 minutes” style events regularly.
Discounts: During anniversary and festival sales, pets drop as low as 209 diamonds (70% off). If you’re not in a hurry, wait for one of these — it’s the single cheapest way to get him.
Redeem codes: Panda has appeared in redeem code rewards during combat-themed events.
Levelling priority: This matters more with Panda than almost any other pet. Going from Skill Lv 1 (+4 HP) to Skill Lv 3 (+10 HP) is a 150% increase — the biggest scaling jump of any pet in the game. A Level 1 Panda gives you 4 HP per kill, which is close to nothing and won’t change a single fight. Do not equip Detective Panda until you’ve fed him past Skill Lv 2. Below that, Rockie or Waggor will do more for you.
Best Characters to Pair With Detective Panda
Panda’s ability triggers on kills, so his best partners are characters that help you get kills or that also reward you for landing them.
Jota + Panda — S-Tier Jota’s Sustained Raids heals you when you damage enemies with a gun, and restores a percentage of HP on a knock. Panda adds flat HP on the elimination. Stacked, you’re healing on the shots, healing on the knock, and healing on the finish. This is the definitive rush build in Free Fire and the reason both are permanently in the meta. If you play MP40 or shotgun close-range aggression, this is your combo.
Alok + Panda — S-Tier Alok’s Drop the Beat aura gives movement speed and continuous healing. Panda tops you up on every kill inside that aura. The speed lets you close distance, the aura heals you through the trade, and Panda pays out when you win it. Best all-round aggressive pairing for ranked BR. See our full DJ Alok character guide.
K + Panda — A-Tier K converts EP into HP over time in Jiu-Jitsu/Psychology mode. Panda adds direct HP on kills. Together you get the deepest sustain pool in the game — EP conversion between fights, instant HP during them. Excellent for long BR matches where you take repeated engagements.
Xayne + Panda — A-Tier Xayne’s temporary HP boost and Gloo Wall damage make her a pure entry fragger. Panda ensures the kills she opens up actually put health back in your bar. Aggressive, high-risk, high-reward.
Kelly + Panda — A-Tier Kelly’s sprint speed gets you into fights faster and lets you rotate onto isolated enemies. More fights taken means more kills means more Panda procs. Simple and effective for rush players.
Wukong + Panda — B-Tier Wukong’s bush transform lets you reset, reposition, and re-engage. Panda refills you between those re-engagements. Niche but strong for players who fight, disengage, and come back.
The Jota + Panda Rush Formula
Jota + Detective Panda is the highest-sustain aggression build in Free Fire. Jota heals you as you deal damage, gives a percentage heal on the knock, and Panda adds a flat 10 HP on the elimination. In practice, a clean one-on-one against a full-HP enemy can leave you at higher health than you started — which means you can take the next fight immediately instead of retreating to heal. In Clash Squad, where rounds are decided by who can keep pressing, that’s the whole game. Pair with an MP40 or M1887 and play for close-range trades.
Detective Panda vs Other Pets
| Detective Panda | Spirit Fox | Ottero | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ability | Panda’s Blessings | Well Fed | Double Blubber |
| Effect | +10 HP per kill | +10 HP on med kit use | EP on healing |
| Trigger | Kills | Consumables | Consumables |
| Downtime | None | Requires healing animation | Requires healing animation |
| Tier | A-Tier / S-Tier (CS) | B-Tier | B-Tier |
Panda vs Spirit Fox: Both restore 10 HP at max level, but the trigger is everything. Spirit Fox needs you to use a med kit — which means you already stopped moving and already spent an item. Panda needs you to win a fight, which you were doing anyway. In Clash Squad, where rounds are short and med kit use is rare, Panda is clearly better. In long BR matches where you’re healing constantly between rotations, Spirit Fox closes the gap.
Panda vs Ottero: Different resources entirely. Ottero converts your healing into EP, which then trickles back as HP — good for sustained, patient play. Panda gives you HP directly and immediately. If you play slow and heal often, Ottero. If you play fast and kill often, Panda.
Panda vs Robo: Offence versus defence. Robo adds +100 HP to your Gloo Walls so you survive longer behind cover. Panda restores HP so you survive longer in the open. Wall-heavy defensive players want Robo; rushers want Panda. Both are Clash Squad specialists pulling in opposite directions.
Panda vs Poring: Poring repairs armour and helmet durability, reducing the damage that reaches your HP bar in the first place. Panda restores the HP after it’s gone. Poring is prevention, Panda is recovery. Poring is stronger in long solo BR matches; Panda is stronger in short, kill-dense modes.
Detective Panda Skins & Emotes
Pet skins are cosmetic only — they don’t change Panda’s Blessings or the HP values.
| Skin | Rarity |
|---|---|
| Detective Panda – Default | Free with pet |
| Wild Panda | Premium / event skin |
| Lightning Panda | Event exclusive |
| Skull Panda | Top-up event exclusive |
Detective Panda Emotes
Panda unlocks 3 emotes as he levels up:
- Celebration (Level 2) — auto-triggers on kills. Panda throws his paws up and does a small victory shuffle.
- Play (Level 3) — manual command wheel. Panda rolls over and paws at the air.
- Show (Level 4) — manual emote. Panda pulls out his magnifying glass and inspects the ground, referencing his detective backstory.

Detective Panda Tips & Tricks
01. Don’t equip Panda below Skill Lv 2. At +4 HP per kill you will never notice the ability. Feed pet food until you hit Skill Lv 3 (+10 HP) — the jump from 4 to 10 is a 150% increase and it’s the difference between a dead slot and an S-Tier pet.
02. Finish your knocks. Panda pays on eliminations, not knockdowns. In squad modes, get in the habit of confirming your own knocks instead of leaving them for teammates. Every knock you hand off is 10 HP you didn’t collect.
03. Panda is a Clash Squad pet first. CS guarantees kills — every round is a 4v4 with nowhere to hide. That’s a reliable HP economy. In solo BR you might go five minutes without a fight, and Panda does nothing during that time.
04. Don’t waste kills at full HP. If you’re at 200 HP and you know a fight is coming, there’s nothing to fix — but if you’re mid-rotation and slightly damaged, take the fight rather than burning a med kit. Let Panda do the healing for free.
05. Pair with a fast-TTK weapon. Panda rewards finishing fights, not starting them. MP40, M1887, and MAC10 close fights quickly, which means more procs per match. Long-range poking with an SVD or M14 rarely converts to eliminations. See our Clash Squad tips to win.
06. Stack with a healing character, not a healing pet. You can only equip one pet, so the way to double your healing is on the character slot — Jota, Alok, or K. Two healing sources from different slots is the strongest sustain build available.
07. Skip Panda if you play passive. Snipers, zone-campers, and support players who rarely secure eliminations get almost nothing from this pet. If that’s your style, use Robo, Waggor, or Poring instead.
08. Use Panda to justify third-partying. Because kills refill you, cleaning up a fight between two other squads is doubly rewarding — you get the loot and the health to keep pushing. Panda turns the risky third-party into a sustainable strategy.
Detective Panda in Battle Royale vs Clash Squad
Clash Squad — S-Tier
Clash Squad is Panda’s home mode. Every round is a guaranteed engagement, kills are dense, and the fights are close-range where the instant heal matters most. Across a full seven-round match, Panda can return 70+ HP with zero downtime — health you’d otherwise have to buy med kits for and stand still to use. In a mode where the round often comes down to who’s got more HP in the final 1v1, that’s decisive. Pair with Jota, Alok, or Xayne and an MP40. Read our best character combo for Clash Squad guide for full builds.
Battle Royale (Ranked) — A-Tier
In BR, Panda drops slightly. Early game you might land, loot, and rotate without a single kill — during which Panda is doing nothing. But he scales back up hard in the mid and late game, especially in hot zones and final circles where fights come back to back and there’s no time to heal properly. For aggressive rank pushers who hot-drop and take fights, Panda stays A-Tier. For passive players who rotate quietly and play for placement, Mr. Waggor or Falco deliver more consistent value.

Detective Panda FAQ — Free Fire Panda Pet Questions
What is Detective Panda’s ability in Free Fire? Detective Panda’s ability is called Panda’s Blessings. It restores HP every time you eliminate an enemy — 4 HP at Skill Level 1 and 10 HP at max level (Skill Level 3). It’s fully passive and works with every character.
How much HP does Detective Panda restore at max level? At max level (Pet Level 7 / Skill Level 3), Detective Panda restores 10 HP per kill. The heal is instant and requires no item or activation.
Does Detective Panda heal on a knock or only on a kill? Only on a full elimination. If you knock an enemy down but don’t finish them, Panda’s Blessings doesn’t trigger. This is the single most important thing to understand about the pet in squad modes — confirm your own knocks.
Does Panda work if a teammate finishes my knock? No. The elimination has to be credited to you. If a squadmate cleans up the enemy you knocked, you get no HP.
Is Detective Panda good in Free Fire 2026? Yes. Panda is A-Tier overall and S-Tier for Clash Squad and aggressive players. He’s one of the few pets whose value increases with your own skill level, which keeps him relevant regardless of meta shifts.
How much does Detective Panda cost in Free Fire? 699 diamonds in the pet store — the standard pet price. He’s permanently available and frequently drops to around 209 diamonds during anniversary and festival sales.
What is the best character to pair with Detective Panda? Jota is the top pick. His Sustained Raids heals on damage and on knocks, and Panda adds flat HP on the elimination — the strongest sustain-aggression build in the game. Alok and K are excellent alternatives.
Detective Panda vs Spirit Fox — which is better? Both restore 10 HP at max level, but Panda triggers on kills while Spirit Fox triggers on med kit use. In Clash Squad, where med kits are rarely used, Panda is clearly better. In long BR matches with frequent healing, Spirit Fox is competitive.
Can I get Detective Panda for free? Yes. Panda appears regularly in playtime events, login rewards, top-up campaigns, and occasional redeem codes — more often than most pets. If you can wait, you’ll likely get a chance without spending diamonds.
Does Panda’s Blessings stack with Jota’s healing? Yes. They’re separate sources on separate slots (pet and character), so both apply. Jota heals on damage and on the knock, Panda adds HP on the elimination.
Does Detective Panda work in Battle Royale? Yes, in every mode. He’s A-Tier in BR — weaker in the early game when you may go minutes without a kill, but strong in hot drops, mid-game fights, and final circles.
Is Detective Panda worth levelling to max? Absolutely, and it’s more important for Panda than most pets. The jump from 4 HP to 10 HP per kill is a 150% increase — the largest scaling of any pet ability. A non-max Panda is genuinely weak; a max Panda is S-Tier in Clash Squad.
