Free Fire Best Attachments for Every Gun – Complete Guide
One-page quick reference: optimal attachment build for all 40+ weapons in Free Fire. Tap any gun to see the priority order, best pick per slot, and why.
Most ARs share the same core: Compensator → Foregrip → Magazine → Scope. Compensator fixes recoil (every AR’s biggest weakness under sustained fire). Foregrip tightens horizontal spray. Magazine extends ammo and reload speed. Scope matches your engagement range. The only exception is when you want stealth — swap Compensator for Suppressor.

Most SMGs have limited attachment slots compared to ARs. Magazine is almost always P1 because SMGs burn through ammo faster than any other category. MP40 only has 2 slots. UMP has 5. The more slots available, the more an SMG benefits from being fully kitted.

Most shotguns accept zero or very limited attachments. M1887 takes zero. M1014 takes 2 (Magazine + Muzzle). MAG-7 takes 3. Shotguns rely on skins and character abilities more than attachments for stat modification.

Free Fire Best Attachments for Every Gun — How to Use This Guide
This page is a one-stop quick reference for the optimal attachment build on every weapon in Free Fire. Tap any gun card to expand it and see the priority order (which attachment to find first), the best pick per slot, and a one-line explanation of why that attachment matters for that specific weapon.
The priority order is not random — it’s ranked by how much each attachment changes the weapon’s combat effectiveness. P1 (Priority 1) is the attachment that transforms the weapon the most. For most ARs, that’s the Compensator (recoil control). For MP40, it’s the Magazine (ammo capacity). For Woodpecker, it’s the Scope (the weapon literally spawns without one). Finding P1 first is always more impactful than finding P3–P5.
For detailed individual attachment builds with sensitivity settings, character pairings, and combo recommendations, follow the “Full guide →” links inside each gun card. For a complete breakdown of what every attachment type does, see our Complete Attachments Guide.

Compensator vs Suppressor — The Eternal Debate
Compensator improves accuracy and recoil recovery — better for sustained spray fights. Suppressor hides your muzzle flash and shot direction — better for stealth play. Rule of thumb: use Compensator on weapons with high recoil (AK47, AUG, Thompson). Use Suppressor on weapons with already-low recoil (SCAR, Groza) or bolt-action weapons (AWM, Kar98k) where stealth matters more than spray control.
Magazine Is Never Wrong
Level 3 Magazine is the single most universally useful attachment in Free Fire. More ammo and faster reload help every weapon in every situation. If you find a Level 3 Magazine, always attach it — there’s no scenario where extra ammo and faster reload hurt you. See our Magazine guide for detailed stats per level.
Scope Selection by Range
Red Dot: 0–15m (SMGs, aggressive ARs). 2x: 10–25m (most ARs, versatile). 4x: 20–40m (DMRs, long-range ARs, snipers who prefer faster ADS). 8x: 30m+ (dedicated snipers). Match your scope to the range your weapon is designed for, not the highest magnification available.
