Free Fire Falco Pet
The only pet in Free Fire that affects your entire squad before the first gun is fired. Falco’s Skyline Spree boosts gliding speed by 45% and diving speed by 50% for every teammate — land 3–5 seconds before enemies and win the loot race every single match.

Why Falco Is a Mandatory Pick in Squad Ranked
Falco is Free Fire’s first and only flying pet — a falcon that sits on your shoulder and does something no other pet can do: makes your entire squad land faster. His ability, Skyline Spree, increases gliding speed during skydive and diving speed after the parachute opens. At max level, that’s a 45% gliding boost and a 50% diving boost — applied to every teammate in your squad, not just you.
The math is simple: if your squad has Falco and the enemy squad doesn’t, you land 3–5 seconds earlier. In a battle royale where the first 30 seconds decide who gets the gun and who gets eliminated, that head start is the difference between looting an [AK47](https://freefirenation.com/free-fire-ak47-gun/) and landing on an empty floor while someone shoots you in the back.
This is why competitive Free Fire has an unwritten rule: in every squad, at least one player must run Falco. The other three can run [Mr. Waggor](https://freefirenation.com/free-fire-mr-waggor-pet/) for Gloo Walls, Rockie for cooldowns, or Detective Panda for kill healing — but someone has to carry Falco. The landing speed bonus is too valuable to skip, and since it applies to the entire squad, only one person needs it.
Falco was introduced in the OB22 update (June 2020) during the Beach Party event, where he was given away free to players who logged in on peak day. Since then, he’s remained one of the top 3 most-recommended pets in every tier list and every pro player’s squad composition guide. In the 2026 meta, Falco is S-Tier for squad Battle Royale and A-Tier for solo play.
His in-game lore describes him simply: “When it spreads its wings and soars, sky and land merges at the horizon.” In gameplay terms, that translates to: “You land first. You loot first. You win first.”
Skyline Spree — How Falco’s Ability Works
Skyline Spree
| Pet Level | Skill Level | Gliding Speed Boost | Diving Speed Boost | Applies To |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Skill Lv 1 | +15% | +25% | Entire Squad |
| Level 4 | Skill Lv 2 | +30% | +35% | Entire Squad |
| Level 7 | Skill Lv 3 (MAX) | +45% | +50% | Entire Squad |
Falco’s speed boost applies to all four squad members, not just the player who has Falco equipped. This means only one person in your squad needs Falco — the other three can equip different pets like Mr. Waggor, Rockie, or Detective Panda. This is why the optimal squad pet composition is 1 Falco + 3 Mr. Waggors — one player handles landing speed for everyone, three players generate Gloo Walls throughout the match.
Gliding vs Diving — What’s the Difference?
Gliding happens when you jump from the plane and move horizontally through the air before opening your parachute. Higher gliding speed means you can reach distant landing spots faster and cover more horizontal distance during the free-fall phase. This is crucial for reaching far-off locations like the edges of Bermuda or isolated compounds on Kalahari that other squads can’t reach as quickly.
Diving happens after you open your parachute and descend vertically toward the ground. Higher diving speed means you hit the ground faster after deploying your chute. This is the stat that creates the 3–5 second landing advantage — while enemies are still floating down under their parachutes, your squad is already on the ground picking up weapons.
Falco boosts both — 45% faster gliding to reach your target location AND 50% faster diving to hit the ground once you’re above it. The combination means you can fly farther AND land faster, which is exactly the double advantage that makes Falco essential.
When Does Skyline Spree Activate?
Skyline Spree is fully passive and automatic. It activates the moment the aircraft opens for jumping and stays active throughout the entire skydive and parachute descent. There’s no button to press, no cooldown, no trigger condition — if Falco is equipped on any squad member, every teammate’s gliding and diving speed is boosted for the entire descent.
After landing, Falco’s ability has no further effect. He sits on your shoulder for the rest of the match as a visual companion. This is why Falco is sometimes called a “one-use pet” — his entire value is concentrated in the first 20 seconds of the match. But those 20 seconds can decide the next 15 minutes.
How to Get Falco in Free Fire
Store purchase: Falco is available in the pet store for 699 diamonds (standard pet price).
Events: Falco was first given away free during the Beach Party event (June 2020) and has been offered through numerous login events, top-up promotions, and redeem code drops since. He’s one of the most frequently distributed free pets in Free Fire’s event history. Check the Events tab regularly — Falco appears in free pet selection events approximately every 2–3 months.
Redeem codes: Garena has included Falco in redeem code rewards multiple times. Follow our redeem codes page for daily updates.
Leveling up: Use pet food to level Falco from Level 1 to Level 7. The difference is enormous — Level 1 gives 15% gliding and 25% diving, while Level 7 gives 45% gliding and 50% diving. That’s triple the gliding boost and double the diving boost. Level him to 7 immediately if you’re the designated Falco carrier in your squad.
Best Characters to Pair With Falco
Since Falco’s ability only affects the landing phase, character pairing is about what you need after landing — Falco doesn’t synergize with any specific character skill. Instead, pair Falco with characters who benefit from early-game aggression and fast looting.

1 Falco + 3 Mr. Waggors is the optimal squad pet setup in ranked Battle Royale. Falco’s squad-wide landing buff means only one player needs him. The other three run Mr. Waggor to generate Gloo Walls for the entire team throughout the match. Assign your IGL (in-game leader) or the player who always hot-drops as the Falco carrier.

S-Tier (Solo BR)
Falco vs Mr. Waggor: These two pets are complementary, not competitive. Falco dominates the first 20 seconds (landing speed for the whole squad). Mr. Waggor dominates the remaining 15 minutes (infinite Gloo Wall supply). The correct answer is not “Falco OR Waggor” — it’s “one Falco AND three Waggors in your squad.” If you’re playing solo, Mr. Waggor is better because Falco’s squad-wide buff is wasted.
Falco vs Rockie: Rockie reduces active skill cooldowns by 15% — valuable for characters like Alok and Chrono. Falco’s landing speed is a one-time advantage. In Clash Squad, Rockie is clearly better (no parachuting). In Battle Royale squads, Falco’s landing advantage is more impactful than one player’s cooldown reduction, since landing speed affects the entire team while Rockie only helps one player.
Falco vs Detective Panda: Detective Panda restores 10 HP per kill — great for aggressive players who chain kills. Falco doesn’t heal or provide combat benefits. Detective Panda is better for players who consistently get 5+ kills per match. Falco is better for the overall squad because his effect benefits all four teammates. In squad ranked, the squad landing advantage outweighs one player’s kill healing.
Falco Pet Skins
Pet skins in Free Fire are purely cosmetic — they change Falco’s visual appearance but don’t affect Skyline Spree’s ability or stats.

The Hellfire Falco is the most popular skin — a fiery red design that makes Falco look like a mythical phoenix. It’s available in the pet shop for 300 diamonds, making it one of the most affordable Mythic pet skins in the game. The Evergreen Falco (dark green) was distributed through early events and is now considered a collector’s item. Browse our pet images gallery for HD visuals of all Falco skins.
Falco Pet Emotes
Falco has 3 pet emotes that unlock as you level up. They reflect the predator bird’s personality — aggressive and proud, with one surprisingly cute “Play” emote where Falco shows a softer side. Pet emotes activate in the lobby and during pre-match, adding visual personality to your character.

Falco in Battle Royale vs Clash Squad
Battle Royale (Ranked) — S-Tier (Squad), A-Tier (Solo)
Falco is S-Tier in squad Battle Royale because Skyline Spree’s squad-wide landing buff is the most impactful early-game advantage any pet can provide. One Falco player speeds up all four teammates, creating a 3–5 second window where your squad has weapons and the enemy squad doesn’t.
In solo Battle Royale, Falco drops to A-Tier because the squad-wide effect is wasted (no teammates). The speed boost still helps you individually, but Mr. Waggor’s match-long Gloo Wall generation provides more value across a 15-minute solo match than Falco’s 20-second landing advantage.
Clash Squad — D-Tier (Useless)
Clash Squad has no parachute phase — players spawn directly on the map. Skyline Spree has literally zero effect. Never use Falco in Clash Squad. Rockie, Detective Panda, Beaston, and Yeti are all significantly better choices.
